The Mk I ULTRA version of the Street_Satchel is crafted from durable and lightweight Challenge ULTRA 400 fabric, which is made from UHMWPE (discover more about the materials we use below). We’ve incorporated custom YKK zips with water-resistant matte tape and black oxide sliders. The UHMWPE webbing tabs allow for attachment of optional accessories.
The satchel includes a detachable 40mm polyester shoulder sling iwth a breaking strain of 900daN. The sling is equipped with customised three-point quick-release acetal hardware.

Mk I Version
The Street_Satchel Mk I ULTRA is being produced in limited quantities. The reason behind this isn’t exclusivity, but rather the constraints we face in sourcing materials and our limited production capacity. Consequently, we’re only able to create these bags in small batches. When a batch sells out, please be aware that it may take some time before we can produce and offer another set.
Key Features
Just enough features. Nothing extraneous.
Weatherproof materials and construction. Enough to survive an equitorial downpour. Not enough to be used as a flotation device to get across a river.
Slimline construction. You can flatten the satchel and slip it into another bag or you can wear it under a jacket.
Lightweight. If you didn't put anything in the satchel, you probably wouldn't notice you're wearing it.
The sleeve inside the main compartment will fit a 14-inch Macbook Pro or Macbook Air (in a form-fitting case).
Organisation
Just enough organisation
The Street_Satchel features two compartments: a spacious main compartment and a handy front compartment.
Inside the main compartment, you'll find a dedicated laptop section that accommodates a 14-inch MacBook Pro. A Hidden_Pocket behind the laptop area provides space for A4-sized documents. Consistent with our design principles, the laptop section has no padding, but we've included a stitch along the base to prevent the laptop from resting on the bottom of the bag.
The front compartment houses an organiser panel with two versatile pockets, perfect for items like a small notebook, pen, satellite communicator, or a few rolls of film. Additionally, there's another Hidden_Pocket within the front section, ideal for storing your passport, AirTag, and a couple of SD cards.
Fabric
Challenge Ultra 400
We've carefully selected fabrics for their durability, light weight and water resistance.
Challenge Ultra is a laminate comprised of a 400D UHMWPE/polyester plain woven face with a 0.5 mm recycled PET film backing.
Whereas with DCF the outer material is polyester, with Ultra you're handling woven UHMWPE. UHMWPE has a more visible grain than DCF and feels more textured to the touch. It will also age differently to DCF.
UHMWPE fabric has an extremely high tear and tensile strength, and has maximal cut, abrasion, and wear resistance. The material is significantly stronger and harder wearing than DCF, but is slightly heavier (not enough to notice).
The UHMWPE/polyester laminate used with the Ultra fabric is also highly resistant to de-lamination.
Zips
Customised YKK zips for each application
The main compartment of the bag features a custom-ordered #8 YKK racquet coil zip in a reverse deployment. Its zip tape is coated with matte black PU for water resistance. The zip has head-to-head sliders and includes a locking mechanism for added security. With a matte black oxide finish, the zip slider is scratch-resistant, non-reflective, and wears gently to develop a pleasant patina over time. Easy-to-use Kevlar cord zip pullers are attached to the slider, allowing for smooth operation even while wearing gloves.
The front compartment uses a #5 YKK AQUAGUARD zip with a locking slider. The zip pull tab is designed to fold flat against the bag for a sleek look. Like the main zip, the slider also features a matte black oxide finish.
Hardware
No hardware (at least, not on the bag)
The Street_Satchel is designed without permanent hardware. Plastic hardware can degrade over time, especially in humid conditions. By attaching hardware to the more affordable component (the sling) rather than the costly one (the bag), we ensure that replacing a worn-out sling is much more economical than replacing the entire satchel.
After evaluating various hardware options, we chose acetal hardware from South Korea because it outperforms nylon hardware. It remains unaffected by water exposure or humidity.
Attachment points
Strong and lightweight accessory attachment points
We've included 25mm webbing tabs on the satchel as attachment points for upcoming optional accessories, currently being prototyped. These tabs are made of UHMWPE – a lightweight, flexible, and super-strong material that's more than up to the task.
The satchel comes with a shoulder sling crafted from 40mm polyester webbing. Polyester outperforms nylon in humid conditions as it absorbs less water and odour. Plus, the sling is fitted with customised three-point quick-release acetal hardware, which holds up better than nylon hardware in damp and wet environments.
